Research Paper / Experimental Zine

In this project, I chose Andy Warhol as the central figure of discussion, examining his role as a leading figure of Pop Art and his interactions with the popular, marginal, and social cultures of his time.

Visually, the work mimics the form of a “product tag.” The four parts of the publication are physically connected with a typical anti-theft tag, referencing the commodified nature of Warhol’s artistic identity. The color palette also draws inspiration from Warhol’s signature hues, evoking an immediate Pop sensibility.

Each section adopts a distinct visual and reading format. For instance, in the second part, the text and images are arranged sequentially to follow a natural reading rhythm. This structure aims to preserve the metaphorical meaning of the paper format—fragmented yet connected—while maintaining the necessary continuity and legibility of the text.
